Ms. Castro graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a B.A. in English before receiving her J.D. from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Castro was appointed the publications editor for On the Cusp Law Review, a member of the Board of Advocates, and inducted into the Royal Furgeson Inn of Phi Delta Phi. As a law student, Ms. Castro received many accolades, including the Louis A. Bedford Jr. Award for her outstanding 1L performance, the CALI excellence award for the highest grade in Legal Writing and Research, and she was awarded the Dallas Bar Foundation’s Sarah T. Hughes Scholarship.
Ms. Castro brings a unique background to her cases, having experience as a police officer, detective, and prosecutor. Ms. Castro’s prior law enforcement career brings perspective and understanding to a case that few attorneys possess.
